Todd Taylor's
Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Northern Virginia, Taylor's mother was his first musical influence. As a music teacher and professional vocal instructor, she noticed her son was remarkably comfortable on a wide variety of musical instruments and was a talented vocalist. With her encouragement, Taylor pursued his career in music attending the prestigious Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, and continued his formal education at Musician's Institute of Technology in Los Angeles.
After graduating from college, Taylor became a successful studio musician and vocalist on the L.A. music scene working with some of the world's finest musicians and multi-platinum recording artists ranging from Cher to Sheryl Crow. As a member of Cher's band, Taylor performed with the legendary artist on the MTV Music Awards and other high profile television appearances. While in Los Angeles, Taylor started writing and his songs appeared in films, television shows and various artists projects ranging from Greg Allman to Taylor's own project with legendary musician Buzzy Feiten. In addition, Taylor has been the featured vocalist in numerous national advertising campaigns for McDonald's, Taco Bell, Pepsi, Tecate Beer and many others. Taylor also appeared as on cameral talent in many of the same commercials along with campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Hyundai, Nordstrom just to name a few.
Taylor now calls Nashville, Tennessee "home" and is already having success in its vibrant and diverse music scene. His primary focus is writing and producing, even though Nashville insiders often refer to Taylor as one of Nashville's finest vocalist and continue to contact him for session work. Taylor has partnered with Grammy winning producer, Brent Maher in one of Nashville's "boutique" studios called the Blue Room and formed a production company, The Padded Room, LLC with one of the town's hottest young producers, Jeremy Stover. Taylor and Stover will be developing new artists utilizing their combined talents as songwriters and producers. Brent Maher adds that "Taylor is one the most talented individuals I've worked with in years and most people don't know that he won the 2007 Cowboy Golf Classic. He is a man of many talents!"
